Hello everyone!
Today Kamilla Konstantinova @_kamilla_konstantinova_ is with you. I am going to share my new canvas in the shape of a unicorn, which will now decorate my girls' bedroom, because they really like it!
To begin with, I covered our MDF blank with primer, then applied a layer of paste with sand through the stencil. I thought about adding another type of stencil, but changed my mind. Then I painted everything with "Maya Gold" metallic paint, and when the paint dried out, I applied craquelure medium with a brush, deliberately adding a thicker layer in some places.
The craquelure medium cannot be dried with a hair dryer, so I had to wait a bit) However, I did not waste time, in the meantime I prepared my embellishments. I covered the chipboard leaves with white embossing powder, mixing it with gold glitter, a kind of life hack "ala American powder". I also covered the cut-out paper leaves with embossing powder, but this time a transparent one.
While the leaves were being made, the medium on my unicorn had already dried out and I applied a layer of chalk paint - a darker "Pink" color on the bottom, and a lighter "Soft Purple" on the top. It was my first experience with the craquelure medium and now it's on the shelf with my mixed media favorites.
In order to highlight the edges, I again covered everything with "Maya Gold" metallic paint with light movements and it was time for decoration. The edges were covered with 3-D gel. I sprinkled with deco topping "Crystal mini", three types of glitter, added sequins in the form of stars and let it all dry again.
I made a composition of flowers and leaves. I also added some glitter, microbeads, sequins to the embellishments... and all this thanks to 3-D gel (I'll be honest, an irreplaceable assistant from Fabrika Decoru when mixing media).
That's the canvas I got today. I hope you liked it.
Create today! You never know what waits for you tomorrow.
Happy crafting to you!
